DENTAL-IMPLANTS... When You're Ready To Take Back Your Smile... Your Self-Esteem... And Good Looks!
Thank God For Dental-Implants!
Dental implants, the dental procedure of choice for those who want their freedom... laughter... self-esteem... and confidence back.
"Dental-implants have been hugely successful in Fort Lauderdale and Miami, FL. My patients are continuously overjoyed by their new smiles. Their only regret, they didn't perform the procedure sooner." - Florida implant dentist, Dr. Gary Kodish.
"Implants Feel So Much Like Natural Teeth"
Implants are for those who want a new tooth or teeth... and a new smile!
Regardless to how you lost your tooth.
Whether you loss your tooth due to gum disease... decay... or a mouth injury - implants are today's preferred method to replace lost teeth.
Dr. Jack Caton, president of the American Academy of Periodontology... "Dental-Implants are permanent tooth replacements that look and feel so much like natural teeth, patients usually forget they're not."
Can Anyone Get A Dental Implant?
In most cases... yes, anyone healthy enough to undergo a routine dental extraction can get a dental-implant. You should have healthy gums and jawbones.
If you're considering implants... talk to your dentist to see if implants are right for you.
Is The Dental-Implant Procedure Painful?
Most people who've received dental-implants say there's very little discomfort involved in procedure. Actually, most people report implants involve less pain than having a tooth pulled.
After the implant procedure is complete, mild soreness can be treated with over-the-counter pain medication... such as Tylenol or Motrin.
After I Got My Very Own Implant...
I was prescribed some pain killers in case I needed them, but I didn't need them. Instead, I just took Motrin for about 24hrs... I was then... "good to go"!
Yes... this writer is a dental-implant wearer... and "I love the great results I'm enjoying with my new tooth - no more clumsy bridges"!
And yes, my confidence and self-esteem are back, too... in full force.
What's All Involved In Getting A Dental Implant?
The first step involved in you getting a dental-implant... the development of an individualized treatment plan for you.
Your plan addresses your specific needs and is prepared by a an oral surgeon and a cosmetic dentist. Both are specially trained and experienced dentists in restorative dentistry.
Next, The Actual Implant... Or The Artificial Tooth-Root
The artificial tooth-root is a small post or screw, made of titanium metal. This post is placed into the missing tooth socket.
As the missing tooth socket heals... it grows around the implanted metal post... anchoring itself securely to the jaw. The healing process can take 6 to 12 weeks.
Once Your Tooth Has Bonded Into Your Tooth Socket...
...then a small connector post - called an abutment - is attached to your implant or post. This abutment will securely hold the third component of your implant... the new tooth or crown.
Your new tooth... which is called a crown... is then attached to the abutment.
Your actual implant procedure is now complete.
Does Dental Insurance Cover Cost Of Implants?
The polite answer is to say... "in general, implants are not covered by dental insurance at this time".
But, more in keeping with my style of communications, I'll say...
"Hell No! Implants Are Not Covered By Dental Insurance"
Why? Because dental-implants fall under the category of cosmetic dentistry. As such, cosmetic procedures are rarely... and I mean rarely, if ever... covered by most "traditional" dental insurance plans!
Instead, there's a second avenue of coverage you really should give serious consideration too.
It's Called Dental "Discount" Plans
When it comes to coverage for cosmetic dental procedures...
